Things I’m working on:
On May 23rd, makeup artist extraordinaire Alani Gaunt and I teamed up with our fellow senior cinema pals Natalie Greenburg, Jason Outenreath, and Jake Coburn for a Bonnie and Clyde versus the lawman staged narrative photoshoot.  There are over 300 fabulous images that I’m in the process of editing.

I graduated from college last week. For kicks and giggles (and since it’s so much a part of my college persona) I carried a camera with me during the commencement exercises.  Photos from the graduate’s perspective can be viewed in full at my Flickr.

Alani and I did our first makeup/fashion/glam shoot with our dear friend Ali Pohanka.  I got this printed a week or so ago, and plan on putting it up in either my new house or my office next year.  More photos from the Ali shoot are on my Flickr.

Maya Coleman was another one of the Alani/Ma’ayan team fashion shoots.  My brother Ben did some great lighting for us, too.  This was one of the most successful fashion shoots we did this year… Maya seemed to be an inspiration for us all.  More photos of Maya are at my Flickr.

Emily Baker-White is a fellow sandwich creator pal of mine from our campus cafe.  She inquired about headshots, which Alani and I agreed to do as long as we had the opportunity to do some great glam makeup afterwards.  It was a pretty awesome shoot, heavy on the alien British mod makeup.  For more photos of Emily, check out my Flickr.

I started work as a camp counselor at the first Apollo Outreach Initiative two-week film summer camp for teens on Monday.  We’re working with high school students and we’re making lots of films.  This shot is from our debriefing session this afternoon after a massive but awesome green screen workshop.

Bonnie and Clyde vs. the law photos are uploading to Flickr as we speak. A huge beautiful weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  Photos will be in color and black and white, both.

Organizing photos from the first of the two commencement circus shows. This is of the silent movie characters, Carolyn and Heather. That screen created lots of problems within the photos of the other acts (read: giant lightbox), but this act was stunning with it.

Contrast and sky, one of the things Oberlin excels at. Taken sometime in the winter, but popped up again since I just made another print order.

Food. Dinner. Summer rolls. Realized I forgot to cook the noodles as I was cutting the rolls in half. Still good. Filled with soy-ginger tofu, green onions, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, and red peppers. Eaten with homemade peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce.

Actually, this photo stemmed from a thing I dislike, thunderstorms. Ohio had the CRAZIEST weather this evening, and between two of the storms, we had sepia-toned lighting from the sunset behind the rainclouds, and a eerily gorgeous rainbow spanning around the eastern part of the sky. To the west, the clouds were textured like satin, but that meant more rain.

The Oberlin Chalk Walk was last Saturday. People of all shapes and sizes flooded Main Street and side streets to create chalk masterpieces big and small.  I got to see several of the pieces in various stages of development, which was awesome.
Check out more of the Chalk Walk at my Flickr.

One of the best days in Oberlin is the Doggie Doo Parade.  We college students can’t have pets, so this is a heavenly day.  This pup was a few weeks old, and was a complete ham for the camera.
(Not only is this one of my favorite photos, I’m submitting it to Photojojo’s Daily Pic Pick photo contest! Today’s theme is Beginnings.)

Brandi (you may know her as half of Oberlove) and I started out our new jobs by taking an architectural walk around Oberlin. I photoed, and she’ll be writing a blog post about the quirky yet complementary architecture on the buildings around Oberlin’s campus.  Soon you’ll be seeing images from today on the Oberlin blogs.
